but why is the Revel scheduled RIGHT ON THE HEELS of Seadogs? Our crew has nearly 35 people going to SeaDogs and probably less than 10 to the Revel, simply because of money issues. Is there any chance next year you could move it back a few weeks so our bank accounts have a chance to recuperate?
I understand a lot (read, about 70%) of the people live down there in Oregon, but there are a ton of us here in Washington that love to do these events...and a week between events just isn't enough for us.
Please don't crucify/keelhaul/make me eat tofu...just a thought.

Re: Kind of an awkward question...
Sun, July 22, 2007 - 11:39 PMThere is a weekend inbetween SDN and the Revel. SDN is July 27 and Revel is Aug 10.
Next year, the Revel will be the 3rd weekend of August which will give 2 weekends inbetween SDN. There was some talk of moving the Revel into late June but I can't deal with an event at the end of the school year.
I can't move it back any farther because of my Annver., Aug 25, and the weekend after that is Labor day.
I'm sorry so few of your crew can make it. I hope more will next year. -

Mon, July 23, 2007 - 5:38 PMThe two weeks will be very helpful! Right now it's just hard with just one paycheck between events. Thank you for responding! -

Re: Kind of an awkward question...
Wed, July 25, 2007 - 11:40 AMWith this only being the 2nd Revel, we are still kinda feeling things out.
I want to make it so as many people as possible can attend, that is why Pre-reg opens in Jan and goes until July.
I'm trying to offer people a way to save money going to events and not have to worry about such things when eventing time comes. But so few people take advantage of it. -

Re: Kind of an awkward question...
Wed, July 25, 2007 - 6:11 PMNow if it only cost $18 for the whole thing including gas, food, liquor, and time off work.... -

Re: Kind of an awkward question...
Thu, July 26, 2007 - 2:15 AM$18?
Revel Gate fees are only $15 per adult, $10 if you pre-reg. -

Re: Kind of an awkward question...
Sat, July 28, 2007 - 9:43 AMI think he was looking at the hopeful ideal of all costs (food, gas, time off work, etc) as being included in $18 - Gate fee, plus $3 for everything else. LOL
Personally, I'd like to see an event try and promise that myself. *chuckle*. Meanwhile, autocritters do what they can to make it as affordable as possible. :-)
