We seem to have an issue.
The paperwork I filed back in March, has gone missing. When I went in on Monday to check on if they had gotten the insurance paperwork that was mailed to them in April, they couldn't find it. Needless to say, I wasn't too happy.
I have spent the last 2 days getting new copies of stuff to the park and from my insurance agent.
But because of all this, we have to make a change. At this point, there will be no fire dancing at the Revel. This makes me very unhappy but until I can talk to the "Head Boss", this is what the park is telling me.
They're basic objection is to anything with an open flame. Which also means no tiki torches or unhoused candles, which is normal for us.
We are however is allowed fire pits with proper fire safety equipment. (ie 5 gallon bucket of water or a fire extinguisher)
If anything changes, I will let you all know.

Fri, August 1, 2008 - 8:29 PMAny time you give Paperwork to an Agency, any Agency, GET A RECEIPT. That way, there is some way to track what you've turned in. This particular Agency sounds fishy, and secretive, and annoying. Like them all. Jerks. -

Wed, August 6, 2008 - 10:11 PMI'm not sure I was say the State Park Offices are fishy, they are just concerned for the condition of the park.
Fire and Steel will be preforming a daytime show call "Weapons of Mass Distractions" where they will show off their weapon wielding skills.
And the paperwork wasn't lost after all, it seems the underling at Tryon Creek didn't call McIver to see if they had the paperwork, which they did. Including the insurance forms. So all is well.
We will be looking for a new site for next year.
